Steve Bailey and Friends: Jingle Bells

Steve Bailey has sent out his annual audio Christmas greeting, and this year’s is the biggest yet. As head of the Berklee Bass Department, Bailey brings in featured artists during their visits to the college to make special bass arrangements of holiday carols. This year has Bailey, Sandro Scoccia, Leland Sklar, John Patitucci, Victor Wooten, David Ellefson, Gary Willis, and Rocco Prestia laying down all the parts on “Jingle Bells”. Berklee drum instructor Jackie Santos fills out the rhythm on drums.
“We hope you enjoy this labor of love which is our gift to the world, but I have one little request,” Bailey writes. “One of our esteemed faculty, the great Victor Bailey has been going through some major health challenge and he needs our help. I ask that if you enjoyed our music, please consider clicking on this link to learn more about what our brother Victor is going through. There are many ways to help Vic, not the least of which is our positive energy focused in his direction, so let the love flow!”
In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
