Michael Moore Releases Bass Method Lesson Book
Top jazz bassist Michael Moore has penned a new work on playing bass, called The Michael Moore Bass Method.
Moore, known for his work with everyone from Bill Evans to Benny Goodman to Chet Baker to Dave Brubeck, wrote the piece with jazz education pioneer Clem DeRosa.
The piece combines traditional classical studies with jazz and popular music applications. It includes exercises in all note positions, as well as information on basic harmony, constructing bass lines and learning tunes in an easy-to-understand way.
