Darkglass Electronics Announces Microtubes B7K Ultra
Finland’s Darkglass Electronics will be kicking things into overdrive at NAMM this year with the new Microtubes B7K Ultra. Based on their B7K, the Ultra expands the pedal’s flexibility with a dedicated footswitch to engage the overdrive section, a Master volume knob, and switches for the mid control frequencies.
“Whereas the Level Knob controls the output of the overdrive section the Master volume adjusts the overall volume of the unit,” Darkglass explains. “Ideal for fine tuning the output on clean mode. It also serves as a DI level control.”
The B7K Ultra retains a four-band EQ with Attack and Grunt switches. Its new mid frequency controls toggle the Hi-Mid knob between 250Hz, 500Hz and 1kHz, where the Hi-Mid can switch between 750Hz, 1.5KHz and 3kHz. Other features include a Blend control for mixing in clean signal and a 1/4-inch Direct Output.
The Darkglass Electronics Microtubes B7K Ultra will be shipping in early to mid-February with a street price around $389.99.
