Ibanez Introduces SR Cerro Singlecut Bass
Ibanez has expanded their Bass Workshop and Soundgear models with the SR Cerro, a singlecut bass available in Natural and Deep Twilight finishes. The Cerro’s body connects to the neck from the 24th fret all the way to 13th fret for increased stability and sustain.
Built with neck-through construction, it’s built with a mahogany body, poplar burl top, a five-piece maple and purpleheart neck, and a purpleheart fingerboard. Ibanez fits the model with a pair of Bartolini MK-1 pickups matched to an active/passive Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ, complete with a mid-frequency switch. The bridge is a Mono-Rail system.
The Ibanez SR Cerro comes in four and five-string models. They will be available soon with street prices of $1,049.99 for the four-string and $1,099.99 for the five-string.

She’s a beaut !
I tested this out in a store – I think it’s great! Very smooth to play, and the wood on the Maple/Purpleheart version is amazing.
My question is – when will they release a fretless 6-string version??
