Mitchell Electric Guitars Launches Bass Lineup

Mitchell Electric Guitars has debuted a new line of electric guitars and basses, including four bass models over three series: the FB Series, the TB Series, and the MB Series. The company calls the FB line their flagship model while the TB and MB basses are configured more traditionally.

Mitchell Electric Guitars FB700 Series Bass

The FB700 is available in four-, five-, and six-string versions, each built with an offset carved mahogany body topped with a AAA quilt maple veneer. Its five-piece rosewood and maple neck is matched with a rosewood fretboard inlaid with oval abalone. Mitchell fits the series with a pair of MB4 alnico V humbuckers as well as a 3-band preamp.

Mitchell Electric Guitars MB200 Series Bass

The MB200 is the company’s most affordable option. Its features include a basswood body, a one-piece maple neck, and P/J-style pickups matched to a 2-band EQ.

Mitchell Electric Guitars MB300 Series Bass

The MB300 steps things up with a carved top, Alnico V pickups, modern neck profile, 3-band EQ, and a high-mass bridge.

Mitchell Electric Guitars TB500 Series Bass

Finally, the TB500 features an alder body, maple neck, and Indian rosewood fretboard. The body has a deep cutaway and “ultra-carve” heel joint for easy access to the upper register. It is the company’s only passive model with a their split-single and single-coil Alnico V pickups set up with a volume/volume/tone control configuration.

The Mitchell Electric Guitars basses are available now. They carry prices of $699-$799 for the FB700 series, $499 to $549 for the TB500 Series, $299 to $399 for the MB300 series, and $199 for the MB200.
