“Next Steps In Bass” eBook Focuses on Method

Next Steps In BassMarkus Vieweg, bass player from German electro-pop band Glasperlenspiel has crafted a 300-page method eBook for bass players, particularly self-taught students of the instrument.

The book, Next Steps in Bass, features not only detailed pictures but also, all the bass exercises and techniques lessons feature audio examples and videos. Presentations are designed to make music theory easier to understand and quizzes are offered to help you review your understanding.

Topics found in the book include technique – slapping, tapping, playing chords, dead notes, harmonics; fretting hand technique and navigating the fretboard; ear training, reading music, using a metronome, and practical tips on practicing, setting up a bass and bass equipment.

The book’s modular arrangement also allows readers to easily jump from topic to topic and clickable links can move you to related concepts within between chapters.
