Mesa Engineering Introduces the Subway D-800+ Bass Amp

A year after introducing their first Class D amplifier, Mesa Engineering has expanded the Subway series with the Subway D-800+ bass amp. The new amp expands on its predecessor with a more comprehensive preamp featuring extra EQ controls, a series effects loop, a tuner output, and a 1/4-inch mute footswitch jack.
The 4-band EQ section now has semi-parametric, sweep-able Low-Mid and High-Mid controls as well as a variable voicing knob (flat to vintage scoop), an adjustable High-Pass filter, a Deep switch, and a Bright switch. Its balanced XLR line out is complete with a pre/post switch, a line/mic level switch, and a ground lift switch. The rear panel also holds the series effects loop, tuner output, mute footswitch jack, headphone output, and aux input. An impedance switch allows for 8/4 ohm or 2 ohm operation to optimize power to load performance.
