“Learn to Play the UBass” eBook Now Available

Learn to Play the UBassIf you’ve been reading No Treble for a while, you’ve probably seen Magnus Sjöquist grooving hard on the Kala UBass. Now Sjöquist is sharing his bass playing knowledge in a new eBook entitled Learn to Play the UBass. Available for iOS, the book is highly interactive with picture galleries, multi-angle videos, and lesson quizzes. The text has clickable highlighted words that are explained in pop-ups or in an extensive word list, and you can even mark the text and make your own notes.

The package has plenty of info specifically for the UBass but aims to build a strong overall musical foundation. “[The lessons] range from anything from my thoughts and experiences about how to hold the Ubass to genre specific tools; things I think the player will bene?t from when they want to play a certain style of music or get a grip on a certain technique,” Sjöquist writes. “I also want to focus on the big picture. Not just learning songs, riffs and bass lines, but hopefully get a greater understanding about how everything connects so the things you learn can be applied to all aspects of playing music.”

Learn to Play the UBass is available now on iTunes for $14.99.
