Trickfish Amplification Expands Bass Cabinet Lineup

Trickfish Amplification expanded their lineup of cabinets this year with the SM210V, SM210HD and the BM410HD. Each of the cabs are fitted with the company’s new proprietary neodymium 10-inch drivers.

“The SM210V is the first cabinet to use our new, proprietary neo 10″ driver and the results are stunning,” says Trickfish’s Richard Ruse. “We’re achieving a greater MAX SPL rating, a modern sounding voicing that manifests in a slightly forward presence and the weight reduction is especially noticeable at 2:00 am when you’re loading out! Having a slightly taller yet narrower cabinet with the handles on the sides really helps with the ergonomics – it’s easier to get through a doorway or slide into the backseat of a car. And when you have two stacked tall the coupling gain really makes for a powerful presence on stage.”

The SM210V is constructed with with 15mm Baltic Birch ply and loaded with two of the 400-watt drivers. The cabinets are covered in 22-ounce sharkskin vinyl with steel handles, metal corners, and “intense” structural bracing. Its speaker connections are made using Neutrik Combi-Speakon jacks, while the crossover features a high frequency attenuation control.

The SM210HD and BM410HD are 2×10-inch and 4×10-inch cabinets, respectively. They retain the same features as their Small Mouth cabinet series counterparts with 18mm void-free birch ply cabinetry and 16-gauge steel grilles. The SM210HD is rated at 800 watts peak power handling, while the 4×10 handles up to 1600 watts peak.

The Trickfish Amplification SM210V will be available this month with a street price of $999, while the HD cabs will hit the market soon with prices of $1,099 and $1,399.
