TC Electronic Unveils the Hall of Fame 2 Reverb
TC Electronic has expanded their line of effects with the Hall of Fame 2 Reverb. The new edition of the company’s stompbox adds a Shimmer reverb to its tonal palette. Even more interesting is a new type of footswitch they call the MASH. The MASH footswitch reacts to pressure, so the more you lean on it the more intense the effect will be.
“With MASH, an incredibly creative tool is suddenly built into a totally regular size enclosure,” TC’s Tre Mogensen says, “and with the TonePrint technology thrown into the mix, the sonic potential is just mind-boggling.”
The company’s TonePrint technology allows you to assign what parameter the MASH controls: the decay, tone, volume, and more. Using the TonePrint Editor, you can even make MASH control three variables simultaneously with each of them reacting individually.
Similar to the original Hall of Fame, the HoF 2 has Decay, Tone, and Level knobs as well as a pre-delay switch. It has eight reverb types plus three TonePrint slots. It will be available soon with a street price of $149.
