No Treble columnist Ariane Cap posed the question “What tunes are – or were at some point – difficult for you technically?” Roy Eraca responded with Grand Funk Railroad’s “I’m Your Captain,” which led me to check it out. Mel Schacher delivers a huge bass tone and a killer groove to boot.
I always thought that if I could learn to play and sing this song I will have accomplished a serious bit of musicianship. I passed that pinnicle years ago and my goals moved on, but that one was a challenge for sure
