Beneath The Bassline Documentary Coming Soon

Beneath The BasslineBassists will be getting their due in a new documentary called Beneath The Bassline. Directed by Nick Wells, the film features loads of interview time with some of the greatest bass players in the world.

Wells traveled to Fodera Guitars, Sadowsky Guitars, and Aguilar Amplification in New York to get the scoop on gear and meet up with bassists Will Lee, Richard Bona, Billy Sheehan, Bootsy Collins, Duff McKagan, Felix Pastorius, Mark King, Lee Sklar, John Patitucci, Larry Graham, Marcus Miller, Robert Trujillo, Nathan East, Stanley Clarke, and many more. The bassists offer “never-before-told stories and anecdotes as well as behind-the-scenes footage and jam sessions.”

“This is a film for anyone who loves the bass guitar,” Wells said. “We wanted to get to grips with what really makes these guys tick, find out how they evolved their respective sounds and styles, and get a glimpse into their world in a way that I don’t think any other documentary has.”
