Dave Roe To Join Dan Auerbach on 2018 Tour

Dave Roe

Dan Auerbach has announced a 2018 tour in support of his new solo record, Waiting On A Song, and he’s put together a killer band for it. Picking from Nashville and Memphis musicians that helped create the album, the Black Keys guitarist/vocalist will be joined by Bobby Wood on keyboards, Russ Pahl on pedal steel, Gene “Bubba” Chrisman on drums, and Dave Roe on bass. The group will kick things off February 10th at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia before heading down the West Coast and looping around the U.S. and Canada.

Roe is a Nashville session legend who is best known for spending 12 years in Johnny Cash’s band, but he’s also a Grammy winner that’s recorded with the likes of Sturgill Simpson, Chrissie Hynde, Vince Gill, Dwight Yoakam, Brandy Clark, and many more.

Check out Roe with Auerbach and the band performing the infectious “Shine On Me” from Praire Home Companion:
