“On Air” Compiles Early Rolling Stones Recordings
Listen up, Rolling Stones fans: the legendary rock band has put out a new compilation album called On Air. The 18-song collection brings together live and studio performances from various BBC shows between 1963 and 1965, during which time Bill Wyman was starting to produce some of his most iconic bass lines.
Tracks include takes of their classics “Come On” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” as well as early blues and rock covers. “Every track has been revolutionary restored via ‘Audio Source Separation’ and you will be able to hear the remarkable difference this makes to each song,” a press release states.
Check out this version of “Come On” from the Saturday Club in 1963:
On Air is available now on CD, vinyl, and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3). A Deluxe version adds 14 extra songs.
