Midwest Rhythm Summit Set for April 20-22

Midwest Rhythm Summit

The Midwest Rhythm Summit is returning for 2018 on April 20th through the 22nd! The instructional three-day event, which focuses on drum and bass, was started by Rhythm Intensive – the duo made up of John Anthony Martinez and session ace Chuck Rainey. They will present sessions for bassists and drummers alongside a host of other artists.

“There will be a wide variety of activities such as clinics and demonstrations with hands-on opportunities for students (from producing concerts to learning about the logistics of running a mid-size event),” the website states. “And of course, there will be plenty of time for exploration at the vendor booths, product demonstrations, and evening concerts!”

Rainey will be joined by guest bass clinicians Cody Wright, Oskar Cartaya, Adam Nitti, Andy Irvine, Doug Johns, John Montalbano, Frank Bello, and Brian Allen. The Midwest Rhythm Summit will be held at the Terra State Community College in Fremont, Ohio. Registration costs only $20 per day and is free for high school and college students with a valid ID.
