Darkglass Electronics Upgrades Vintage Series Pedals for 2018
Darkglass Electronics has been introducing lots of new gear, but now they’re revamping some of their existing units. The company’s Vintage Series pedals have gotten an upgrade for 2018 including the Vintage Ultra v2 and the Vintage Deluxe v3.
The Vintage Ultra v2 retains the features of the original but has been upgraded with their new cabinet simulation technology. It has a single user loadable cabinet simulation impulse response plus a Micro-USB B port to connect to your computer and load different virtual cabinets via the Darkglass Suite software. They also added a 3.5mm headphone output with the cabinet simulation as well as a balanced XLR output with switchable cab simulation.
On the other hand, the Vintage Deluxe had some of its EQing adjusted. Its Mid controls now have dedicated switches for changing the frequency. Lo Mid can now be toggled between 1kHz and 500Hz, while Hi Mid can be switched between 3kHz and 1.5kHz.
The upgraded Darkglass Electronics Vintage pedals are available for pre-order with the Vintage Ultra v2 at $399 and the Vintage Deluxe v3 at $329.

Darkglass Electronics Vintage Deluxe v3 Pedal Technical Upgrades:
| Low mid frequency switch: the “Lo Mid” control has now a dedicated switch to shift its corner frequency one octave so in addition to the standard 1kHz now users get 12dB of cut/boost at 500Hz. |
| High mid frequency switch: the “Hi Mid” control has now a dedicated switch to shift its corner frequency one octave so in addition to the standard 3kHz now users get 12dB of cut/boost at 1.5kHz. |
