Joe Bonamassa Releases “British Blues Explosion Live”
Joe Bonamassa pays tribute to his British guitar heroes in a new DVD and album called British Blues Explosion Live. The guitarist taps into the work of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page with a five-piece band filled out by keyboardist Reese Wynans, rhythm guitarist Russ Irwin, drummer Anton Fig, and bassist Michael Rhodes.
Bonamassa cherry-picked some of his favorite songs including “Beck’s Bolero”, “Spanish Boots”, “Swlabr”, and more. Check out Rhodes covering Jack Bruce’s part on the classic Cream song “Swlabr”:
