Todd Strange Leaves Crowbar

Todd Strange

After returning to the fold two years ago, Crowbar bassist Todd Strange is once again leaving the band. Crowbar made the announcement on social media.

“Crowbar will be performing Odd Fellows Rest 20th anniversary show at Southport Music Hall August 4th,” they write. “We did it at Roadburn Fest in The Netherlands, and want to share this classic in our hometown!! Sexy T will be playing this show but will no longer be our touring bassist. All of us in Crowbar believe that family comes first! Gonna be a great show!! Be there!!!”

Strange was a founding member in 1990 and originally left in 2000. He returned in 2016 just before the release of The Serpent Only Lies. Shane Wesley is already filling in on bass for Crowbar’s current tour.

  1. T strange is the man. Played with him in Va Beach. I was pulling my two 8 ten cabinets off the stage when he blocked the egress. He stood in front of me, and I waited for him to move. We both just sat there until I said “oh fuck yea” and went to dap him up. He Russian arm dragged me into the rail (playfully) walked past me and the cabinets and told me to “get those cabinets back on stage” he ran his cabs and mine that night, and I took it as a compliment, especially since my old drummer took a bunch of pictures of him and Kirk staring at us with the arms folded and brows crinkled as we played our set–a sign of respect. He basically gave me an older brother fuck you for being better at baseball than I am–get your ass back in the dugout–kind of a vibe. It was great. Big up to T strange, Crowbar, Weed Eater, Eye Hate God, T-Roy Medellin, Sleepy, Ramzi and all the dirty south boys. Fucken A
