ZVEX Effects Announces the Russian Fuzz Factory 7 Pedal
ZVEX Effects expanded their line of effects pedals with the Fuzz Factory 7, which features rare Russian transistors. Company founder Zachary Vex explains why that’s important:
“Germanium transistors. What makes them so special? It’s because they turn on faster. Sooner. They get turned on way quicker than any other transistors,” he explains. “Yeah, I got a favorite transistor, the shiny fragile amazing mosfet, but the germanium bipolar and somewhat easily startled and delicate germanium that loves getting turned on is my most memorable transistor. Enjoy. She’s waiting for you, respectable and wonderful, the happiest of all semiconductors, the most delicate and perfect.”
The Fuzz Factory 7 is controlled in part by a nine-position rotary sub switch that offers “earthshaking low frequencies” to high frequencies. It also has a passive tone control for rolling off the high end. The knobs include a compression, gate, volume, tone, fat, and drive.
The ZVEX Effects Fuzz Factory 7 is available now for $469.
