Bass of the Week: Ibanez ATK810E

Ibanez ATK810E Bass

There’s something so raw yet refined about the Ibanez ATK that has always caught my attention. This week we’re checking out the four-string Premium version of the model.

“With the ATK, we took the traditional concept of the bass and turned it up to ’11,'” Ibanez writes. “The result is one of the most straightforward, versatile basses on the market. The ATK’s large Ash body plus its conventional neck design will keep old school stylists happy.”

Another key feature to the bass is its CAP pickups, which include a Sonic Arch in the neck position and a double humbucker in the bridge. The bridge pickup is true to its name and houses two humbuckers. A three-way switch toggles between using both coils at once or one at a time. Ibanez fits the ATK810E with their 3-band EQ for more tonal control.
