Ibanez Reintroduces Artcore AFB200 and AGB200 Basses

Ibanez has reintroduced their Artcore series bass models with the AFB200 and the AGB200. The hollow body, short-scale basses each carry an old school vibe with a different tonal palette to separate them.

“The AFB200 is geared towards the traditionalist; the player after a huge, warm bass tone perfect for Jazz, Blues, or acoustic sets,” Ibanez explains. “The AGB200 is ideal for bassists seeking a bit more flexibility. The solid center block and hardtail bridge make it perfect for splitting time between those laid-back sets and full-volume electric shows.”

Both basses are crafted with a three-piece mahogany and maple neck, a maple body, and a bound laurel fretboard with white dot inlays. They also have the same electronics with a pair of Classic Elite Bass pickups with a pickup selector switch as well as volume and tone knobs.

The Ibanez Artcore AFB200 and AGB200 are expected to ship at the end of next month for $549.99.
