Mythos Pedals Introduces Ghostbusters-Inspired Positron Collider Fuzz Pedal

Mythos Pedals Positron Collider Fuzz Pedal

Mythos Pedals unveiled the limited edition Positron Collider Fuzz, a pedal inspired by props from the Ghostbusters movie. Mythos says the project began as a take on the Ram’s Head circuit, but quickly expanded its scope.

“The Positron Collider features a highly modified circuit that allows for a huge variety of sounds perfect for any guitarist or bass player,” they write. “It’s Treble and Bass tone stack allows you to go from thin and raspy to dark and full. While it’s diode clipping switch allows you to choose from classic silicon clipping to a fatter/louder LED clipping mode.”

The fuzz pedal’s Focus control sets the output with the Intensity control setting the gain. An LED by the Intensity control pulses as you play to visualize how hard you play and where the intensity is set. The Positron Collider’s right footswitch labeled “Total Protonic Reversal” lets you bypass the tone stack for a more full range voicing, which the company says is great as a solo boost.

The Mythos Pedals Positron Collider Fuzz is hand-assembled in Nashville, Tennessee. It carries a street price of $279.
