Oz Noy: Chocolate Souffle
Oz Noy has a new album coming out called Booga Looga Loo on March 15th, and it is amazing. The guitarist always gets the best bass players for his work with and this will be no exception. It features the dynamic low end of Will Lee, John Patitucci, and James Genus.
Just check out this clip of “Chocolate Souffle” with Patitucci holding down a solid shuffle with drummer Vinnie Colaiuta. Noy’s doubled melody with Brian Charette lays back so much you’ll fall out of your seat. Patitucci also throws down on an epic solo at the 3:48 mark.
Noy is currently on tour with Dave Weckl and bass legend Jimmy Haslip in preparation of the album release.

Nice tune & arrangement. John Patitucci is a monster on all basses.
Too bad I’m gonna miss the Boston show.
Amazing walking line by John, so well connected
wow that is soooooo laid back I might have trouble following. I really had to concentrate on the drums to stay in the pocket.
