Béla Fleck & The Flecktones Announce 30th Anniversary Tour Dates

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones

Béla Fleck & The Flecktones are celebrating 30 years of music this year with an extensive summer tour. The band will be touring North America with their original lineup of banjoist Béla Fleck, Howard Levy on piano and harmonica, percussionist Roy “Future Man” Wooten, and bassist Victor Wooten.

“It’s hard to imagine it was 1988 when I first put these guys together for an episode of Lonesome Pine Special. We went on our first real tour in ’89, and have been at it ever since!” says Fleck. “The Flecktones are celebrating 30 years with our most extensive US tour yet! We couldn’t be more excited. Part I launches May 2019. See you out there!”

The tour is slated to kick off May 30th at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado with a special night of music including Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Abigail Washburn and a performance with the Colorado Symphony. The quartet will cover the West Coast before heading into the Midwest with their final concert slated for July 1st at the Kresge Auditorium in Interlochen, Michigan. Additional tour dates will be added later this year.
