Weezer Releases “The Black Album,” Announces Tour Dates

Weezer: The Black AlbumWeezer has released their long-awaited thirteenth studio album, simply called The Black Album. Three years in the making, the record is a departure from the band’s typical sound and features a more varied texture. That includes bassist Scott Shriner jumping on synth for a couple of songs and drummer Patrick Wilson getting on rhythm guitar.

The band will once again co-headline a tour with The Pixies in support of The Black Album. Starting March 8th in Louisville, Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center, the tour will bounce between Canada and the U.S. as it moves west to California. Its final date is scheduled for April 12th in Las Vegas.

The Black Album is available now on CD, vinyl, cassette and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
