Mai Leisz Releases New Single Featuring David Crosby

MaiGroup: Here It's Almost SunsetWe’re anxiously awaiting Mai Leisz’s new album with her band, MaiGroup, so I was excited when she emailed to let us know the first single is now available. The bassist, who has been playing in David Crosby’s Sky Trails band, released “Here It’s Almost Sunset” on all major platforms.

“It’s a song David and I wrote together and it was first released on his ‘Sky Trails’ album (2017),” she explains. “I made a new version of it with my group MaiGroup, Croz sang new vocals, Greg Leisz and I did the background vocals plus he played some epic lap steel and 12-string guitar (hint, hint The Byrds).”

“Here It’s Almost Sunset” is available on Amazon, iTunes, Deezer, and more. In related news, Leisz will be joining Crosby for a performance at Woodstock 50 on August 17th.
