Bass of the Week: Ramsay Musical Instruments Hummingbird-RF6PZ-FL

This week we’re checking out the Hummingbird-RF6PZ-FL from Ramsay Musical Instruments. The six-string, fretless lefty has a jaw-dropping layered and chambered body with a solid top veneer.
The body wood and top have several options to choose from, while the three-piece quartersawn maple neck is topped with an ebonol fingerboard. Mini line-dot markers with offset side dots help to mark the fingerboard.
For electronics, Ramsay fits the Hummingbird with a Delano The Xtender HE/S dual coil humbucker matched to an active 3-band EQ. Its ETS MK brass bridge also has piezos built in.
