Eric Clapton Announces Brief Tour with Nathan East
Guitar legend Eric Clapton has announced a small run of U.S. tour dates for this fall, and he’ll be bringing along his longtime collaborator Nathan East to lay down the low end. East, who has worked with Clapton on and off since the ’80s, will be joined by guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, keyboardists Paul Carrack and Chris Stainton, and drummer Steve Gadd. Backup singers Sharon White and Katie Kissoon will fill out the band.
The run includes three concerts in the West with stops in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. Clapton has been suffering from peripheral neuropathy, a nerve damage that affects his playing. He also told BBC 2 that he is going deaf, which has restricted his ability to play extended tours.
East will also be with Clapton for three shows at Royal Albert Hall in London, England this May as well as four shows in Germany and Austria.
