Paul D’Amour Joins Ministry

Al Jourgensen, Paul D'Amour, and Tony Campos

Ministry has announced a new bassist among their ranks after Tony Campos has left to pursue the Static-X reunion tour. Al Jourgensen and crew will be anchored by former Tool bassist Paul D’Amour. The band shared the news via a photo of Jourgensen, D’Amour, and Campos with the caption “Passing the torch. Welcome bassist Paul D’Amour to Ministry!”

He will be on the road with Ministry this summer as they tour Europe from June to July. In October, they’ll return to the U.S. for the Exit 111 Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.

D’Amour was the original bassist and a co-founding member of Tool. He performed on their debut album, Undertow, and is credited with songwriting on 1996’s Ænima. After he quit in 1995, D’Amour went on to play in Lusk, Lesser Key, and Feersum Ennjin.
