Naytronix Releases Third Album, “Air”
Nate Brenner has released a new album with his solo project, Naytronix, entitled Air. The bassist, who is also a member of Tune-Yards, holed up in his Oakland studio for the psych pop project.
“These sessions, as irregular as they are fruitful, have long formed the backbone of Naytronix’s releases,” his website explains. “Combining his knack for taut and melodic bass lines with swirling, dreamy soundscapes, Naytronix’s first two albums as well as his work scoring Boots Riley’s 2018 film Sorry to Bother You, established Brenner as a dynamic songwriter and composer in his own right.”
Brenner lays down the bass as well as several synth lines on a Korg MS-20, a Pittsburgh Modular, a Prophet 6, and a Mellotron. Get a taste of the new album with the single “Come Back”:
Air is available now on CD, vinyl and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
