We normally see Linda May Han Oh behind a double bass, but this clip of her song “Speech Impediment” shows she’s great on electric, too. The song begins with a syrupy chordal riff on the bass before playing with the time feel after she gets on the microphone.
The wordless vocals portray a man fighting his stutter to tell a woman he loves her, Oh has explained. The song eventually portrays a resolution that the musicians expand upon.
