Jackson Guitars Unveils X Series Signature David Ellefson CBXM IV and V Basses

David Ellefson’s line of signature instruments has gotten a new spin with two new bassists: the 4-string X Series Signature David Ellefson Concert Bass CBXM IV and 5-string X Series Signature David Ellefson Concert Bass CBXM V. The basses have a fairly new look for a Jackson bass, particularly in the headstock region.
Each is built with a poplar body and a graphite-reinforced quartersawn maple neck. The neck, which has a heel-mount truss rod thumbwheel, features a 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard designed for more comfort and articulation. A key difference between the four-string and five-string versions is the scale: 34 inches for the four and 35 inches for the five.
Other features include active EMG P/J pickups, a 3-band EQ, and a Jackson HiMass bridge. Hear Ellefson talk about the new basses in this intro video:
The Jackson X Series Signature David Ellefson Concert Bass CBXM IV and CBXM V have MSRPs of $952 and $1,020.
