Spector Revamps Legend Standard Basses for 2019

Spector Legend 4 Standard Bass Front

Spector has upgraded their Legend Standard series for 2019. The body shape stays the same, but it is now crafted from lightweight ash and topped with flame maple. Other new features for the bass, which comes in four and five-string versions, include a five-piece maple and padauk neck, new gloss finishes, a hi-mass bridge, and all-new pickups and electronics.

“Specially designed Spector pickups are complemented by the two-band active EQ controls that offer 12dB of boost or cut for both treble and bass controls,” the company writes. The Legend 4 Standard is fitted with a P/J set and the Legend 5 Standard has a pair of humbuckers.

Both the four and five-string versions come in Black Cherry, Black Stain, Blue Stain & Tobacco Sunburst High Gloss finishes. The revamped Spector Legend Standard basses will have price points of $549 for the four-string and $599 for the five-string.
