Redd Kross Returns with “Beyond the Door”

Redd Kross: Beyond The DoorRedd Kross is back with a new album called Beyond The Door, which they say is inspired by their “total commitment to having the best f*cking time we can have while we’re all still here.” That’s always been the case for the group, which was founded by brothers Jeff McDonald (vocals/guitar) and Steve McDonald (bass/vocals).

Their unique sound blends the sounds of the ’60s and ’70s psychedelic with shades of punk. “It’s a rock and roll record and a celebration of everything brothers Jeff and Steven McDonald love, from cultures both high and low,” the band writes. “Musically, it’s guitars, bass, and drums topped with a generous portion of sweet vocal melodies often delivered with an ambiguous edge.”

McDonald said, “Given the choice, this is what we would hope lies Beyond The Door; sexy, mystical, rock’n’roll GOOD TIMES!”

Beyond the Door is available now on CD, vinyl and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
