Oysterhead, Featuring Les Claypool, to Reunite in 2020

Oysterhead 2020

Oysterhead is back. The supergroup consisting of Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio, The Police drummer Stewart Copeland, and Primus bassist Les Claypool has confirmed a pair of performances for 2020.

The trio will play at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado on February 14th and 15th. The concerts will mark the first time they’ve been on stage together since Bonnaroo 2006.

Oysterhead formed when New Orleans promotion company Superfly asked the bassist to put together a band for a super jam at the 2000 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The chemistry was enough for them to record an album (2001’s The Grand Pecking Order). Following a tour, the trio went their separate ways. Superfly would go on to create the Bonnaroo Festival and coaxed the group into a set for the 2006 edition.

There’s no word yet if the band will perform more in 2020.
