JHS Pedals Introduces Colour Box V2 Preamp Pedal
JHS Pedals has revamped one of their preamp pedals with the Colour Box V2. The unit is designed to replicate the “direct-in” sound of recording into a Neve studio console. Building on the original pedal, version two has some upgrades.
“The Colour Box V2 has all the same functionality of the V1 with many new and improved additions like expanded EQ controls, a Hi/Lo switch for massive clean headroom, and the ability to pass phantom power to your condenser mics,” the company writes. They add the most significant improvements are the addition of an output transformer, EQ shift knobs for each of the three frequency bands, and silent switching.
