Every year, Aguilar Amplification creates a limited edition run of their SL cabinets in a special color, and this year the company has unveiled they will be “Royal Purple.”
“In this strictly limited run of ‘Royal Purple,’ only 100 units of the SL 112 cabinets and 50 each of the SL 410x, SL 212, SL 210, and SL 115 cabinets will be built,” the company explains. “Each Royal Purple cabinet will feature a custom ‘Limited Edition 2020’ label and a numbered certificate of authenticity.”
Aguilar’s SL (or Super Light) series features neodymium drivers with custom crossovers for a sound they call “modern technology with a classic vibe.” The Limited Edition SL “Royal Purple” cabs will be shipping this month with prices ranging from $799.50 for the SL 112 to $1,399 for the SL410x.
