Fodera Unveils New Yin Yang Standard Basses

Fodera Mahogany Yin Yang Standard Bass

Fodera doesn’t have a booth at the Winter NAMM Show this year, though they’ll be on hand. That isn’t stopping them from revealing the new Yin Yang Standard, which will come in two color/wood options: Purple Heart or Mahogany.

Each bass is a four-string with a 34-inch scale, 24 frets, and a 3-piece hard rock maple neck. The Purple Heart version is crafted with a chambered alder body with the yin yang symbol made from a purple heart wood top and olympic white painting. Its fingerboard is also purple heart. The Mahogany Yin Yang will have a chambered mahogany body, mahogany top with a black painted yin yang, and an ebony fingerboard.

They also have the same pickup and electronics package with EMG P/J pickups (Seymour Duncan Dual Coils Upgradable Option) and a Fodera/Pope 3-band preamp. Either bass can be ordered with black or gold hardware.

The Fodera Purple Heart and Mahogany Yin Yang Standards will be available in the first quarter of 2020 with prices of $6,250 and $5,250.
