Oteil Burbridge to Tour with Dead & Company, Oteil And Friends
Dead & Company have announced details for their summer 2020 tour, which will run from July 10th to August 8th. The band includes three Grateful Dead members (Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann) as well as guitarist John Mayer, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, and bassist Oteil Burbridge.
The trek begins with two nights in Boulder, Colorado before crisscrossing the Midwest and East. They’ll wrap up with another two-night stay at Boston’s Fenway Park on August 7th and 8th.
The wildly talented Burbridge isn’t waiting for his deadhead buddies to get back on the road. He will be joining the previously announced Allman Brothers concert at Madison Square Garden on March 10th. After that, he will be taking his band Oteil and Friends on a coast-to-coast tour that will include festival appearances and theatre dates. Burbridge’s solo effort has a revolving cast of musicians, but this spring will include Eric Krasno, Scott Metzger, Jeff Sipe, Jason Crosby, Lamar Williams Jr., Jennifer Hartswick, James Casey, Weedie Braimah, and Alfreda Gerald.
