Tomáš Kedzior: El Viento Del Mar
Tomáš Kedzior sent us his latest video for a new song called “El Viento Del Mar,” which features percussion by Ladislav Siska and dancing by Iveta Kaveckova. Kedzior sets up a hypnotic groove that ebbs and flows, while the cajon adds a little more drive.
“My initial thoughts when composing ‘El viento del mar’ for the bass guitar were that it would sound good with another rhythmic instrument and I found cajón to be the best contender for that,” the bassist explains. “I contacted Ladislav Šiška, and I am very glad that El viento del mar gave me the opportunity to work with him again after so many years. Ladislav suggested that he knows a great flamenco dancer who would fit the flamenco-like vibes of this song. Immediately upon our first meeting with Iveta Kave?ková (Iveta La Rubia) I knew that this was it.”
Ultimately, Iveta named the song saying, “to me it felt like… a sea breeze, gentle, loving, yet intense.”
