Fodera Announces 5-String Yin Yang Standard Basses

Fodera Purple Heart Yin Yang Standard 5-string Bass

Fodera has announced they are able to get back to work in their shop, and with that announcement came more news. They’ll now be offering the newly revamped Yin Yang Standard in a five-string version.

“The 2020 Yin Yang Standard is now available with 5 strings!” they wrote in an email. “We’ve also included the option of having either 19.0mm or 17.5mm spacing.”

Just like the four-string version that was unveiled earlier this year, the new models come in two configurations – purple heart or mahogany – with a couple of options. The purple heart version has a chambered alder body that’s topped with purple heart and Olympic white painting to create the yin yang. Similarly, the mahogany version is built with a chambered mahogany body with a mahogany top with black paint to create the yin yang. They have purple heart and ebony fingerboards, respectively.
