Headcat 13 Releases Self-Titled Debut

Aside from the mighty Motörhead, the late Lemmy Kilmister used to lay down the low end in a project called Headcat with Danny B. Harvey and Slim Jim Phantom. Now a new incarnation of the project has emerged with one of Lemmy’s protégés on bass.

Headcat 13 features Harvey joined by drummer Paul Vezelis and bassist Alan Davey. Davey, who was nicknamed “Bass Assassin #2” by Kilmister, also spent many years in the lineup for Hawkwind.

Their debut album continues the group’s Rockabilly ways with a mixture of original songs and classic covers. Get a taste of the record and Davey’s bass work with the opening track, “Let’s Go Crazy”:
