Serek Basses Unveils The Grand

Serek Basses has unveiled a brand new bass model called The Grand. Fit with a short-scale neck and funky body shape, the instrument also has a brand new set of electronics called the Serek “Skuzz Serkit,” which is an on-board passive fuzz circuit.
Luthier Jake Serek builds The Grand with a poplar body, roasted maple bolt-on neck, and Chechen fingerboard. Other features include a TV Jones Thunder’Blade pickup, Hipshot hardware, and a nitrocellulose finish. All in, it weighs just 7.5 pounds.
The Grand will be a semi-regular part of Serek’s lineup. “These basses will be built in batches semiannually and sold first-come, first-served. They are not customizable, nor pre-orderable,” the company explains. “A great studio companion and a show-stopper on stage, the Grand is perfect for players who want a bass with a custom feel at a price working musicians can afford.”
The Grand is available starting August 1st with a street price of $1,850.

Hideous.
I love it.
You MUST now make a fret-less version!
Gee, I hope that is the only color/pattern available. Otherwise, I’m sold.
Pfft, already sold out. Sheesh.
