Mark J. Smith and Ariane Cap: J.S. Bach Prelude #2
It’s always a good day to share Bach, especially if it’s performed with two basses. Today we’re featuring Mark J. Smith and No Treble contributor Ariane Cap making a duet out of the genius composer’s work, Prelude #2.
“I take the left hand, Ariane takes the right hand and the arrangement works pretty well, especially with Ariane’s use of a 6 string Marleaux,” Smith writes. “The piece is deceptively difficult, particularly the middle Presto section. Playing the piece together, remotely, proved to be another hurdle to overcome but the end result shows that we made it in the end!”
