Ibanez Introduces SR1100B and SR1105B Basses
Ibanez has added a new set of basses to their Soundgear line with the SR1100B and SR1105B. The instruments are four- and five-string versions of the same design, which the company says “defy expectations with a big, traditional voice, in a streamlined modern package.”
Each is made with a five-piece Maple/Purpleheart neck bolted onto an African Mahogany body. The 24-fret roasted birdseye maple fingerboard is adorned with abalone oval inlays, and as part of Ibanez’s Premium line, is given the Premium fret edge treatment.
“Nordstrand Big Singles offer plenty of output, raw power, and bite for a strong and articulate tone that will never be lost in a mix,” Ibanez writes. The pickups are paired with a custom 3-band preamp with a three-way mid-frequency switch and an active/passive switch. Hardware includes Gotoh tuners and an MR5S bridge.
The Ibanez SR1100B and SR1105B come in Sea Foam Green and Pearl White Matte finishes. They are available now for $1,099.99 and $1,199.99.
