Bass of the Week: Jackson X Series Concert Bass CBXNT IV
Jackson’s X Series features versions of their classic designs with modern upgrades in playability in an affordable package. Their Concert bass shape got the treatment several times over, including this X Series Concert Bass CBXNT IV in a cool matte army drab finish.
“This 34-inch scale bass features a poplar body and a one-piece maple neck-through-body design that generates formidable sustain,” the company writes. “The speed neck contour, 12″-16″ compound radius bound laurel fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets make for lightning-fast playability.”
For electronics, Jackson opted to fit it with a P/J set of pickups and an active 3-band EQ. Hardware includes a Jackson HiMass bridge and sealed die-cast tuners.
