Watch Jacob Umansky Rip Through Interval’s “Lacuna” on the Dingwall Sol Signature Bass

Jacob Umansky recently shared a playthrough of Intervals’ track “Lacuna,” offering a closer look at his new Dingwall Sol Signature bass. No Treble first reported on the release of Umansky’s signature model when it was announced, and this video gives a great sense of what the instrument can do in a full performance setting.

Umansky is playing the six string Sol Signature, a multi scale bass built for clarity and definition across an extended range. The bass is equipped with three FDV pickups and multiple switching options that allow him to move between tones while maintaining the tight low end and articulation that Dingwall instruments are known for.

For the session, Umansky runs through a Bergantino rig, which delivers plenty of punch and clarity. The setup complements his aggressive fingerstyle approach and keeps every note clear, even through the fast runs and complex rhythmic passages.

“Lacuna” comes from Intervals, the instrumental project led by guitarist Aaron Marshall. The band’s music blends technical precision with melodic phrasing, and Umansky’s performance here shows why he is one of the standout players in modern progressive metal.

No Treble CEO Jody Miller is a Chicago-based bassist, guitarist, engineer, and producer best known for his bass gear demo videos and as the co-host of The Bass Nerds podcast.
