Bass of the Week: Singleton Guitars Stellar Funk5

Singleton Guitars Stellar Funk5 Bass

This week we’re checking out a cool Stellar Funk5 bass by Singleton Guitars that features a killer purple and pearl yin yang design. It’s hand-crafted by luthier Mark Singleton, who built it with a Western Red cedar body, a flamed maple neck, and a bubinga fingerboard.

For electronics, he opted for a set of Nordstrand pickups with an MM-style in the bridge position and a J-style in the middle position. They’re complemented with a Nordstrand 3B preamp. Other details include custom knobs by Matthew Haramis, a Hipshot Kickass bridge, and Hipshot Ultralite tuners.

Ahh. Beautiful, modern and solid. Love the depleted Uranium high mass bridge. And those knobs.
This looks to be a clean, solid bass probably slaps and funks at Bootsy Level 9. (10 is impossible….Bootsy level 10 is Bootsy Himself.
    Yeah Baby!

Wow! At 7.8 lbs that is really light for a five string!
