Jackson Guitars Introduces the X Series Concert Bass CBXNT DX IV
Jackson Guitars has announced a plethora of new instruments, but one has stood out for us the most. The X Series Concert Bass CBXNT DX IV seems to be an amalgamation of several vintage basses, the result being an instrument they say is highly versatile and designed to “bring the thunder to your music.”
“Upgraded electronics, classically brutal style and fast, efficient playability make this entry into the lineup a fundamental force to be reckoned with. Perfect for rock, punk or metal—or other styles that demand low, punchy bass—this instrument is an unbelievable value,” Jackson writes.
Its poplar body has a P/J pickup set with the bridge pickup under a chrome cover. A three-band EQ and blend controls help dial in your tone. Another unique feature is the Jackson Bass Bacher IV string-thru-body hardtail bridge, which Jackson says enhances note attack and sustain. The bass’s maple neck is reinforced with graphite and has a 12”-16” compound radius bound laurel fingerboard. Its 24 frets are inlaid with the company’s signature pearloid sharkfins.
Finally, the X Series Concert Bass CBXNT DX IV comes in three finishes – Absynthe Frost, Gloss Black, or Rocket Red – with white body binding. It will be available in April with a street price of $649.99.
