Top 10: The Most Watched Bass Videos (January 2021)
For the first month of the new year, the bass videos we shared were quite popular. Here are the top 10 No Treble reader favorites for the month of January 2021.
1. How To Record Bass Like The Beatles In 1964
In addition to being a bass player, I’m also an engineer. I love old microphones and such. I thought this was a cool video detailing how Paul McCartney got his bass sound in his days at Abbey Road. Love that Hofner tone!
2. Adrian Belew Power Trio: E
Our friend Art Araya sent us this excellent clip of the Adrian Belew Power Trio and their performance of “E”. Julie Slick brings it on this track, and Jordan Perlson is on drums. (And there’s a bonus video, too!)
3. Canadian Armed Forces Long Distance Big Band: The Chicken
Bassist Simon Paré sent us this video of a very ambitious performance. Simon got together members of the Canadian Armed Forces Big Band and created an entirely virtual video performance of “Soul Intro” and “The Chicken”.
